Thanks for the tips guys, I added AppleTalk in Directory Access and now the Mac can log onto the PC - I had turned on SMB and set up a workgroup, but had ignored to turn on AppleTalk!

Does anybody know why the PC can't now see the Mac? I have Windows and Personal File Sharing turned on at the Mac, but when I ask Windows to show me the workgroup computers it still refuses to list the Mac?!

Thanks for your help so far!

Hi there,

Has anybody successfully networked Panther and Windows XP Home Edition
via Ethernet? I've been trying for ages and, although I think I'm
doing everything, both machines just refuse to see each other. They
can see themselves as sharing files, but not each other.... so
annoying!

Any tips, advice or guides would really be appreciated guys! Thanks!
