I wonder if anyone has any clues abot this one?

I'm using Image Capture to download Raw images from a Canon D60 to a Powerbook, running OS X 10.2.8. I've configured Image Capture to automatically load & open whenever the camera is connected & switched on, and it does this. I then generally select 'Download Some' and select the files I want to download. This has worked well for some months.

Recently Image Capture has started quitting after the second image is downloaded, and I receive a message in the Image Capture window 'No Image Capture device is connected'. Yet the camera is still connected & switched on. The only way I can get Image Capture to recognise the camera again is to switch off the camera, then switch it back on ; at thi spoint Image capture sees it, and I'm able to download the next two images!

I used to be able to download a whole card's worth of images - dozens, in fact. Has anyone got any idea what might be causing this problem?
