Problems's solved: after a restart, the faulty behaviour vanished!

No, because 'automatically connect' works when a application command is inserted into a programme, like google seach in a browser, bid in a bidder etc., and only retries as specified.


This is retrying even when all applications are shut down. It is a system software problem.
