It was recently moved from one machine t oanother, but it was working on several occasions after that. It was OK when the relevant machine was turned off, and came up dead when next the machine as turned on. In OS X, the Airport widget on the menu bar reports that no airport card is installed. I know the laptop hardware, etc, is OK because replacing this one with another, more recent, airport card in the same laptop works fine. So it's definitely the card, which is showing dead in two machines.
So the queston is: what might have caused this? And is there any way of recovering it?
