     I don't think Bill Gates will feel the pinch and have to go around
the house turning the radiators down to save dosh - if it's a good deal
you may as well take it. Microsoft are not exactly world renowned for
sticking to the rules. I bought Pshop 6 for 35 quid when I was a
postgraduate - still got it even though I'm not postgrad anymore - and I
got Matlab 5 for free as a postgrad as Mathsoft had no retail copies
available for mac...that was a bargain. Microsoft Works also used to be
30 odd quid for students but I thought that was overpriced - the students
must have got much better off in the interim for the price to rise to
�119.
     Though why anyone would want to buy Word baffles me - Excel fine -
but Word....
