But as soon as I try to get them to work together nothing works, I

PPPoE settings in the airport admin utility and I can't work out why.
Anyone have any ideas?

To ask the obvious question:

After getting the Ethernet modem working fine with the PowerBook and being
able to access the web based interface page with the setup details you
wanted/need, you left the modem connected to the internet the same way and
have connected the ABS station to the modem by means of a router (either
built in or additionally between the two)? Then it would only be a matter of
setting the ABS to use DHCP to connect to the router and Ethernet
modem...This also provides a better level of security to you and others
using the ABS.

Hope this helps?

I didn't realise I'd need a router, I assumed I could plug the modem straight into the AEBS. So my next question will be any recommendations for routers?
