Much ta.
As my signature suggests, I am a consultant. Personally, I switched to Jaguar and have since moved to Panther. I am very pleased with Panther and feel Apple's finally gotten there though I am still somewhat annoyed that Apple felt the need to toss away all the user interface evolution in classic and foist Aqua onto the user base. I believe they shot themselves in the foot in doing so by making the migration issues more daunting for a large section of the user community. Apple seems to miss the point that a large section of the Mac-using public just want to use their computer to get a job done and providing it does that job - they're happy. Most of my clients are still running MacOS 9 though I am these days proactively recommending an upgrade to Panther. I would have to say, however, that most tend to get MacOS X through hardware replacement as the cost of migrating a OSX eligible machine can be daunting once you consider RAM, disk space, software updates, processor speed, time and effort. However, I have to say that those who have moved over at my suggestion, are pleased with the switch and recognise the benefits. I have mentioned this to a couple of MacOS 9 users and if they agree, I'll supply their names off list. If you want to contact me for more feedback, I'd be happy to oblige.
