1) Macs rarely break, and those that do are either old enough to warrent replacement, or under Applecare warrenty.
I may just add here that some unlucky folk do suffer Mac breakage that fall into neither case above, but then cars breakdown (in my case half my exhaust fell off after I went over a humpbacked bridge), trains are late and buses are never there when you need them. That's life guys...
Don't talk to me about busses...mutter mutter mutter...flights to Abu Dhabi are more frequent! ;-)
