I need a recommendation for a flat-bed scanner. I have an old one, a UMAX Astra 1220U. Over the weekend I re-constituted my under-the-stairs darkroom, and was all set to scan my mono masterpieces when I discovered that the UMAX scanner simply isn't supported by OS X. It's quite old (5 years?) and is, I think, quite low resolution, so I'm not too bothered about replacing it. But there are so many to choose from that I'd welcome some recommendations.
I've got the same scanner, still going and runs fine on OSX. I think I had to get an updated driver, I can't quite remember as it was a year ago, but i think I did a search and downloaded an update and it works fine.
You'll probably want to get a new one anyway but just so you know.
