I would personally stick with the B/W as the Mac mini isn't as good. Alright it has reasonable spec's at the moment, but no where near as expandable as a PowerMac. It would be like buying a laptop, give it a year and the thing will be outdated. At least with a B/W there's the possibility of upgrades.

Welcome to the list James.
I've got a B&W still with the original 350 MHz G3, and was thinking of
upgrading it later in the year when Tiger comes out. Unfortunately this
week's announcements have made me pause for thought and the machine might
become a server instead. I've also got a CRT iMac and 2003 iBook, so very
much a "G3 gang"...
...and they're all sulking since the Mac mini came out ;-)
