Oooh, all caps, very mature.

Gosh, the internet uses standards, really? Well that is nice. BUT what happens when something fucks up, as it will with BT, you can COUNT on that. Then you have to call them and that goes like this:

me - I'm having a line fault, could you check the exchange
BT - please go to the start menu etc
me - I have a mac
BT - we are not trained for that and dont support it, sorry
me - I know but my router tells me there is a line fault, can you check for me
BT - your configuration is not supported, sorry
me - I know, lets pretend I have a nice pc and I am telling you there is a line fault
BT - but I have to get you to go to start etc

I called back, LIED trough my teeth and said yes to all the windows questions, made up some answers, the moron I spoke to checked and guess what, there was a line fault at the exhange and this would be fixed in the next 38 hours.

Demon, Mailbox, Bulldog etc ALL know what a Mac is, they will help you and you do not have to listen to that bit of generic wait music that BT uses for ALL their services.
Trust me on this I used to work at BT, they suck ass (paid me real nice though)

Of course choosing Demon still means BT can fuck it up. I have a BT landline (as you have to have). I ordered ADSL with Demon which would be activated today. I came home yesterday to use sucky dailup to check my mail to find that my line was dead. I just spoke to the engineer who fixed it, turns out the moron who had to do something at the exchange to enable ADSL on my line plugged the wires into the wrong place and short circuited everyone in my street, nice one.

No BT, people do not go back to you because you make shiny nice adverts, they go back to get closer to the bullshit in the hope the fuckups can be resolved faster.

Just my 2 bitter penies

Gerard
