Hi all

Just trying to put the finishing touch to a home wireless network, and need
a bit of help.

Our house has three floors, and I have a host PC on the top floor, connected
to an ntl:home 120 cable modem (750k connection - soon to be 2mb if the
rumours are right) and a Netgear WGR614 wireless router (802.11g).

My son's new Mesh PC (tried to get him to have a Mac, honest) is on the next
floor down, successfully connected to the network via a Netgear USB wireless
adapter (802.11g).

And on the ground floor is my iMac (G3 500mhz, OS 9.2.2) kitted out with an
Airport card (802.11b). Card is in correctly and Airport software is running
fine on there (albeit a fairly early 1.2 version). Here's where I've come
unstuck, however. I've gathered all sorts of info from the Netgear router -
IP addresses, SSID, IPSubnet, MAC addresses, you name it ... but how, in
simple terms, do I get the iMac's Airport software configured right? And
which info do I need from the router?

If anyone can help - in idiot-proof terms - I'd be grateful, particularly if
you've got a similar set-up.

Here's hoping!

Russ :)
