I just did a clean install of tiger on my iBook and copied across all my files from my desktop by putting the desktop in target-disk-mode and doing a finder copy of everything in my Home folder.

Now any installers that identify themselves as packages by having a .pkg extension are just showing up as folders - if I double click them I just get shown the contents instead of running the installer. I suspect a problem with one of the preference files that came across from my old account, as a new user I created has no problem running pkgs at all.

Any idea what I should be trashing to fix this?
