I have a regular customer who commissions many small jobs on a daily or quasi-daily basis.

At the end of each month, I have to invoice him.

Each job is in a named folder, and all these named folders are in another folder, which this month is called 'May'.

I want to be able to copy the window of the opened-up 'May' folder, revealing these 70 named folders, into my invoice, and to have the jobs listed in date order.

But I can't do it.

I select the whole window and then Command C and then Command V in the invoice. Only the names come up, no dates, and the order of the names is random. I then Sort these names, and I can do it in alphabeticl order but it won't Sort in date order (I thought maybe the dates were 'hidden' somehow).

How can I sort these jobs into date order? Previously, I have put the date in manually but this takes forever.

This is in Word for the Mac. I have also tried with AppleWorks and it doesn't work.

Thanks!
