I am indeed. The only thing that I can think of that was causing this was
the fact that there were users (can't remember the exact control field or
app name for this in 9) and obviously I wasn't privy to the user name and
password but could change the user name and then the password so assume this
had something to do with it? Either that or it was just the permissions
being added to the files as they came over the PB...either way it wasn't
having anything of it..

Of coures...Thanks a million Gerard! (I forgot how easy to use our OS is,
doh!) I simply made a local copy of the system folder and then after
connecting to it with ethernet used Tiger to make a zip file of the
copy...thereafter it came over without any issues and I have everything now.

Am installing X as we speak...again thanks for the quick response and help.
