Please confirm? It's Apple's iPod and Apple's computer and Apple's OS.

Look ... go and buy yourself a copy of Tiger and some extra RAM.
You're buying the top end iPod therefore apparently can afford to -
and if that's stretching the budget - I think the priority is to
invest a little in your computer before the iPod.

10.1.5 ... it's time to move on.
