I just wanted to give as many people as I could a heads up about this. If you already know about it then okay I'm sorry to bother you again, but I think it's important this is out and open knowledge to as many people concerned as possible.

Several people, my dad included, have informed me recently that the e- mail service that is provided with BT Yahoo! broadband has a very poor SPAM filter system that is indiscriminately stopping e-mails and filtering them out of people's inboxes as 'Bulk Mail' The 'Bulk Mail' folder is flushed every 30 days and these legitimate e-mails are lost, for good. Among things that have been found in the Bulk Mail box on accounts I have seen are order confirmations from online stores like Tesco and Amazon, e-mails from Banks and Building Societies, and e-mail from online services like eBay and PayPal.

The answer is simple. Log into your BT Yahoo! webmail page and turn the filter off, as soon as possible. This is not a joke, or an over reaction, legitimate e-mail is being trashed here.

Oh and while your at it send BT Yahoo! customer services a message stating how incredibly annoying this is. I fail to understand why SpamCop, Apple, Google, Pipex, Demon and 1000s of other ISPs and e- mail providers can efficiently remove SPAM without upset and Yahoo!, who are one of the biggest e-mail providers on the web, can't. It's stupifying and frankly stupid.

As I said I just wanted to let as many people know as I could. If it helps one person on the list or elsewhere then it's worth my time and everyone elses.
