USB 2.0 is faster than Firewire 400 however USB 2 is flaky and does
fall over a lot during large file transfers both on mac and PC,
obviously USB 1.0 is slower but stable
See if you can find a FW ipod unless you favour the Nano or the
Shuffle in which case its USB 1.0
:-)

I'm looking at getting my first iPod and I have a G3/400 iMac DV

use the
USB-2 function through my firewire iMac, or should I seek out an
older iPod
that still uses firewire as opposed to USB-2? Which is the fastest
transfer
method - my iMac firewire or the latest USB-2?
