John Lewis stores had these in at Norwich - (their online operation is
separate and simply fronts for Apple). They do offer a 2 yr warranty.

Just to confirm: the new 15inch Powerbook have a higher resolution and
though I havent had the opportunity to see one yet I also expect that I
would have to wear my reading glasses to use it - which I would rather not.

I could presumable set the resolution down to 1024px - and this would then
solve it - or is the native resolution the only setting that is clear and it
not so clear if downsizing the resolution settings?
