I'm not clear on how to do that. I've just had a look at Font Book but that seems to be about ho to turn fonts on & off. How do I alter the display of text on the desktop? Is it controlled at the OS level or in the applications?

I had the opportunity to look at one of the new 15" Powerbooks on a

the resolution is a little too fine for my eyesight, given the size
of the screen. It's actually a slightly higher resolution than the
17" iMac screen (1440 x 960 as against 1440 x 900 for the iMac) on a
smaller screen.

The higher resolution should provide a better quality display. Won't
increasing default font display sizes, etc. deal with any problems you
have?
