I'm still seeing more Deathstars fail than other types of drive at the moment and usually in very terminal ways. When you've got a device storing huge amounts of your data, it's going to take more than a couple of years of reassurances from the manufacturer that their 10%+ failure rate was just a glitch.

What's wrong with Hitachi 3.5" drives? The 75GXP problems were years
ago. Get over it. Need I note that Hitachi build the fastest 7200RPM
drives at the moment.... I've used WD for yonks myself myself, but
unless I was gonna buy a Raptor, my next drive would almost certainly
be a HitcahIBM(as have all of my notebook drives for a long time).
