?? best OCR software for scanning old books ??
I need to advice, yesterday. :o)
I need to know the best OCR software for scanning old books. Maybe color pictures, definitely black and white pictures. I'd like to be able to keep their format. I will be transfering them into pdf format. I also need to edit the text by adding to the pdf.
I have an imac/ibook using 9.2.2 and 10.2.3
I would like to use our old Epson 1640SU scanner, if I can work the bugs out of it.
*Recommended OCR software *Would lite versions that come with new scanners be sufficient?
*Is there a scanner with OCR package anyone would recommend? *Best place to buy?
I'd like the least expensive route. Every bit of help would be appreciated! Thanks Kim
