I presume it's one of the PDFs ("How to install X11") which are linked from
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/List_of_OpenOffice.org_Mac_OS_X_issues_and_problems
so Eric indeed is the author of the original text.
I'll change that in German version too.
