Hi,

I wish to join the OOo team concerning the Macintosh port.

Great. Please subscribe to this list by sending a mail to mac- [EMAIL PROTECTED] so that your mails don't get moderated. We also meet on IRC. Server irc.freenode.net Channel #ooo_macport

I have switch last October and I have a MacPro remotely accessible and a
MacBook Pro 15”.

The MacPro is a great machine for doing lots of fast builds. If properly optimised you should be able to build OpenOffice.org in under an hour. I use a 2GHz MacBook and can produce builds in under 3.5 to 8 hours. There is plenty of information on our wiki at http:// wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Category:MacOSX If you have any problems let us know and we will try to help.

I’m a professional developer for 10 years and I have deep C/C++ knowledge mainly in Windows (sorry) API programming. I also have some unix knowledge
as professional for the last 2 years. I’m currently studying Cocoa and
Objective-C as hobby.

We are currently using Carbon for the Aqua port. However in some places Cocoa can be used. The strong C/C++ knowledge is is far more useful than my Java.

If you think I can help, it’ll be a pleasure and a wish to join the Mac team
of OOo.

We are happy to get more help all the time. :-)

If you need further information about me, let me know.

If you are available, you can tell us more about yourself at our next Mac Port meeting on IRC on Friday evening (EU time). http:// wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Mac_OS_X_Port_Meetings
