Hi Frédéric,

Hi,
I wish to join the OOo team concerning the Macintosh port.

Be welcome aboard :-)

I have switch last October and I have a MacPro remotely accessible and a
MacBook Pro 15”.

Good machine :)

I’m a professional developer for 10 years and I have deep C/C++ knowledge
mainly in Windows (sorry) API programming. I also have some unix knowledge
as professional for the last 2 years. I’m currently studying Cocoa and
Objective-C as hobby.

Well Shaun already described you what we need : mainly, we use Carbon ( more C/C++ ) than obj-C , but whith your C++ background, I don't see any problem.

If you think I can help, it’ll be a pleasure and a wish to join the Mac team
of OOo.

Sure you can !!

We need experimented coders like you, and there is a lot to do.

If you need further information about me, let me know.

Shaun already wrote the most important : we do weekly IRC meetings, and there is a special welcome for new devs every week.

Because I see you're french, there is an easy solution to explain you more : #fr.openoffice.org (in french). Sébastien Plisson ( alias plipli), Ismael Merzaq, Damien Duportal, Michel Renon, me and several other frenchies are often present over there. Other important channels are #dev.openoffice.org and of course, #ooo_macport ( all channels do use irc.freenode.net server )

See you !

Eric Bachard
