I don't know who you were writing to, but to reach the largest audience, I would recommend opening an Issue on the Issue Tracker and select porting for the area and then Mac OS X. You can always file a defect report this way. As for posting attachments to the list, this is bad form and is not always greeted warmly. If you want to sent attachments to individuals, the I see no reason not to, but I still would prefer an issue on any problems you encounter.
