IIRC the issue just waits for a final decision. Renaming the packages themselves
is easily done in the instsetoo_native/util/makefile.mk

I am working on making the Mac OS X install set generation to work
exactly like on all other platforms: until we finally decided on .mpkg,
the new default packaging format on Mac OS X will be "archive", which I
will map to .dmg. This hopefully will fix the naming issue as well.
