Further reports from my MacBook... ;)
When I try to "Save As", I get a dialogue as tall as my laptop screen,
which is mostly blank. It doesn't show the file browser window etc.,
only (at the top) "Save As : Untitled", the arrow to compress the file
browser (which is not shown) and the bottom-row items (hide extension,
new folder, cancel, save).
The first time I opened the "Save" dialogue, it covered my whole
screen, and was almost completely blank. None of the bottom-row (or
any other) controls were visible: the dialogue extended to the right
much further than I could tell: I pulled the titlebar to the left for
at least four window-widths, but all I could see was still blank
dialogue. I had to Force-Quit to get out of that. No comment in Console.
Then, after I restarted OOo, the Save As dialogues were the same, but
the Save dialogue was OK, except for still being as tall as my screen,
which is unnecessary.
I think some of this, at least, has to do with compatability with
Default Folder X (which enhances Open and Save dialogues): I got the
"normal" Save dialogue after turning off DFX and restarting OOo. Once
I turned DFX on again, I got the endless-width dialogue again, and had
to force-quit again.
DFX is definitely trying to play nice with OOo: it moved its controls
around to the LHS so it could display them, but I think DFX and OOo
still have issues.
OSX 10.5.1 and DFX 4.0.1d11.
Also, what strings _do_ appear in these Open/Save dialogues are
completely untranslated. The interface is 100% translated in our
Vietnamese builds. The main interface, and other dialogues I open, are
translated.
(Maybe this bug is also fixed: I have to test our language builds, so
I can only use m241 loc27, so far.)
