Hi Uwe,

How can it be tested? Especially: How can it be switched on (install of your
version I presume) - and switched off again(!)? Specs somewhere?

My mistake, I believed people were aware of the qlmanage thing, but indeed, this is not trivial :/ To be sure, I have added the LaunchServices database reinitialization too in the script below, to be sure everything is clean.

Reminder: LEOPARD only !!

1) Put the Bundle wherever you want ( e.g. in a dedicated QL folder, on the Desktop, easy for deinstall it after tests )

To simplify your life, please use the script I put there : http://eric.bachard.free.fr/mac/aquavcl/patches/aqua_March_2008/quicklookplugin01/ql_initialize

2) Put this script somewhere ( Desktop or your home dir ) , and make it executable, with:

chmod ug+x ql_initialize

Note: if you encounter strange errors, it means you probably have DOS end lines issue -> cry after the browser used for the download ;)

3) Run it :

./ql_initialize # will do everything silently

Then the text file log_qlinitialize.txt will contain a new list of all generators, including the one in your bundle.

If not, retry, until you see the OpenOffice.org ql generator listed.

4) try to preview all OpenOffice.org files, like .odt, or .sxi or whatever, and report the results, ... I don't know.

... here e.g. ?

Hope I did no other mistake :)

Thanks,
Eric Bachard
