2) Put this script somewhere ( Desktop or your home dir ) , and make it
executable, with:
chmod ug+x ql_initialize
Note: if you encounter strange errors, it means you probably have DOS
end lines issue -> cry after the browser used for the download ;)
3) Run it :

Then the text file log_qlinitialize.txt will contain a new list of all
generators, including the one in your bundle.
OK. I got some lines like
org.openxmlformats.spreadsheetml.sheet ->
/System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator
or
org.oasis.opendocument.spreadsheet ->
/Applications/NeoOffice.app/Contents/Library/QuickLook/neopeek.qlgenerator
in this log file.
If not, retry, until you see the OpenOffice.org ql generator listed.
4) try to preview all OpenOffice.org files, like .odt, or .sxi or
whatever, and report the results, ... I don't know.

OK - and how can I "switch off"? Just delete everything behind "->" for
org.openxmlformats or org.oasis.opendocument entries? (i.E. deinstall
all those apps? Or just delete
/System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator? (deoinstalling OOo won't
affect that at all - maybe It's getting time sthinking of an De-Instaler
script)
(You see, I've installed NeOoffice too so my suspect was there is some
interference - and now we see I was right with that.)
So for testing we have to delete all previos
/System/Library/QuickLook/Office.qlgenerator
folders and also to de-install any existing Neooffices too?

After Installing and starting your version from
http://ooomisc.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/ooomisc/MacOSX/quicklookplugin01/,
content of /System/Library/Quicklook reads:
UwesMac:QuickLook uwe$ ls -l
total 0
drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 24 Sep 2007 Office.qlgenerator
drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 4 Okt 08:27 iChat.qlgenerator
UwesMac:QuickLook uwe$
Funny thing: I can see iChat.qlgenerator folder in Finder but not
Office.qlgenerator.
