I shouldn't worry too much, my own builds of recent 3.0 dev (m14, 17,
19) on Tiger all tend to die rather suddenly without warning and without
there being any reproducible reason why. One would hope, however, in
view of the impending release of the 3.0 (September) that these
instabilities will be overcome in the coming months or else I guess the
Mac port will have to be delayed.
