Hi
DEV300_m21 has been provided, and if you have serious problems i
think I can add some notes in my announcement at release@
No, let's talk here : this is Mac development list, and here is
the place where things have to be discussed.
One problem is you ignore whats happening on this list, and you
don't test the builds you are providing.
Eric: calm down.
I'm calm and serious: people discovering all the crashes with current
builds are obviously not following seriously this mailing list, and
the recent progross of the Mac port.
Maho is providing milestones builds. He is not providing tested
builds.
I think this is not good to provide all milestones. Some people
believe they are releases.
It is the task of Mac port developers to integrate their cwses as
fast as they can so Maho's builds are OK... And you still do not
got it.
That's even the reason why I decided to provide my own unofficial
and hacky builds including fixes on http://oooaqua.laurentbuisson.fr
... instead of creating and QAing/nominating cwses that fix
issues... Typical Eric ;-)
The issues are fixed, but the fixes are not yet integrated.
To be constructive, my proposal is :
- you provide firstly the to-be-QA-ed-builds: even if they are
buggy, any important bug/issue is P1 or P2
- you provide some developer snapshots, *on Mac porters requests*,
for the visibility of the progress
- the devs do provide developers builds, unofficial and hacky, for
their testers because they know what they do
And how this differs from the current situation? ;-)
Currently, people believe milestones are releases , that's why I ask
to limit the number of available builds on Maho's site.
I'd suggest you to remove them. Please ask and wait for the "ok"
from mac porters before to provide a new one (probably DEV300_m24)
No, Maho please ignore Eric.
This is obviously not constructive, and keep the monopolistic
situation where only one builder continues to ignore what happens
here is not an option.
I think Eric's main problem is that you "spam" (read: you announce
too often ;-) releases and other lists with it...
This is plain wrong. I don't announce releases ?
Excepted a collection of trolls, I don't see anything constructive in
your mail.
