Hi,

I think it can be usefull for everyone, to keep in mind the history of the Aqua port development.

There are probably better / other sources, or maybe present them a nicer way can be usefull, but I think the links below do provide the essential.

0) Everything started during First Mac porters meeting, when aquavcl01 has been created (created in November 2005)

1) aquavcl01 cws (the initial aqua thing )
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/User:Ericb#AquaVCL_01_cws

2) integrated aqua cws's, Herbert Duerr created sometimes ago : http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Aqua_Integrated_CWS

3) more recent cws's (work in progress) :
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/AquaBuild#Current_Work_in_progress_.28Aqua_specific_work_only.29

I got other information (mainly mails), pre-aquavcl01, but I need to reorder everything. e.g. I remember Florian Heckl and Stephan Schaefer, who provided the first "Aqua" frames. I have to retrieve the first mails about salframe, aquavclevents and some of the first funny issues we had for Aqua port.

4) more old news : http://eric.bachard.free.fr/news/2006_01_01_ericbblog_archive.html

Eric:

Let us not forget the work done by Patrick Luby, Ed Perliten, Dan Williams, et. al. to get the Mac X11 port started and the first attempt at an Aqua port. Please do not include political issues, as they do not add to the history of this project.
