Hi Max,
as the new mac trackpad is just great, OOo should make use of it as
well, so I'll be implementing all the gestures. I have couple of
questions, maybe someone with pages can have a look there as well to
make it consistent.

swipe: I guess no worries about that one, just page up/down, already
works now
magnify: this would normally zoom in/out of the page, but what
should happen e.g. when a draw object or image is selected? Should
the selected object be enlarged or just zoom in/out of the page as
well?
To make it consistent across modules I would default this to the zoom
functions.
rotate: when an object/image is selected, this will be rotated, but
if we just have e.g. an open page in Writer, should this be able to
automatically switch the current page to landscape and back or would
that be to much magic?
-1 from me for rotating writer pages. I would only makes this
available as a separate option but default to doing nothing.
