I like the functionality in the current stat of the CWS printerpullpages.

But I did notice that if one has an odp open and chooses File->Printer Settings->Options, one does not returns, as in spinning wheel forever.

Cheers,
Chuck

Hi,

as some of you may know printing is currently under revision to
a) improve the user interface on all platforms
b) make it more efficient especially on the mac

This effort is well underway, however the UI is not finalized yet (and there is no spcification yet). For those interested I have provided install sets of the current state of CWS printerpullpages at

ftp://qa-upload.services.openoffice.org/printerpullpages/

Especially the Users of MacOSX 10.5 could have a look since the current state of the native print dialog must be improved before integration; the current state is a backstep in so far as the native mac print dialog does not show a preview anymore owing to the fact that the same binary is suitable for MacOSX 10.4 also. We could solve this by having a two step approach: have the print options we add (and that result in the missing preview) appear in a first dialog, followed by the native print dialog, which would then show a preview again. The question is what is preferable to the Mac user.

Oh, and of course you can use our platform independent print dialog on the mac as well as on all other platforms by enabling it in OpenOffice.org->Preferences->General.

All non mac users are of course also invited to state your opinion.

Kind regards, pl
