This means the ssh file system ran into an EPERM (operation not permitted) error, most likely on the server side. The operation in question here is "writing". One reason could be that you are trying to access files that the sftp user doesn't have write access to on the server, even though userid mapping makes it look like you do have access. Could be some other reason too...
