I just checked out the source, built SpotlightFS and tested it and it
does indeed now allow the creation of directories.

This is amazing for two reasons:

· This is the first project I've ever built on OS X - the sky did not
fall.

· The entire Fuse / SpotlightFS project blows my mind.

A question:

I understand that this is pretty much a technology demo, but in order
to make SpotlightFS more user friendly, how easy would it be for
someone like me to modify the code in such a way that it sources the
Spotlight query from the Spotlight Comments of the directory, instead
of from the filename? That would be more useful to me in that you
could create a directory named something comprehensible (i.e. 'Old PDF
Docs') then hide all the esoteric raw query logic in the Spotlight
Comments.

Bear in mind the important caveat: I am a moran.
