Thanks!

Looking forward to 10.5. (OT, I'm more excited about Server 10.5.)

Results of a second test,

* AFP in lieu of MacFUSE/SSHFS/MacFusion
* Finder in lieu of Burn --

Finder: Burn started, Wed Sep 5 21:46:32 2007
Finder: Burning to CD-RW media with SAO strategy in MATSHITA DVD-R
UJ-846 FQ3T via ATAPI.
Finder: Requested burn speed was 4x, actual burn speed is 4x.
Finder: Burn underrun protection is supported, and enabled.
Finder: Burn finished, Wed Sep 5 22:32:19 2007
Finder: Verify started, Wed Sep 5 22:32:19 2007
Finder: Verify finished, Wed Sep 5 22:58:55 2007

-- that was, burnt in around forty-five minutes. Compare to --

-- when I previously downloaded for burning the same data set via
SSHFS ... but the *very simple* reason for the difference could be
the coincidental return home of my house-mate, who probably shared
the Internet connection during the burn.

Bottom line: in both cases, I'm happy with the end result -- the CD.
