"ssh"fs (which is a misnomer in that we're normally talking about
*SFTP*), doesn't really know much about remote groups and group
memberships. In your situation, you can probably get more desirable
behavior by using the 'defer_auth' mount-time option. 'defer_auth'
will be known as 'defer_permissions' in the next major release of
MacFUSE. See http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/wiki/OPTIONS for
