When an SSHFS is mounted using sshfs.app, the mountpoint is created
automatically under /Volumes. When the filesystem is unmounted, the
mountpoint is deleted. (This is my interpretation of what's going on,
but it could be wrong.)

Is there a way to replicate this behaviour from the command line?
Right now I have empty directories cluttering my filesystem when they
are not in use as mount points.

Thanks,
