Well I'm not a MacFUSE developer.
As an NTFS-3G developer though, I sometimes test the pre-releases of 
MacFUSE to ensure that they don't break NTFS-3G, but for normal 
operation, building and testing I use the stable build as that is what 
my users will have installed.
