I MANUALLY DELETED the MacFuse bundle itself which resides in Mac OS X
10.5.x and in /Library/Filesystems/
Then I ran the SCRIPT
sudo rm -rf /Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs /System/Library/Filesystems/
fusefs.fs /Library/Frameworks/MacFUSE.framework /Library/Receipts/
MacFUSE.pkg "/Library/Receipts/MacFUSE Core.pkg"

And reinstalled MacFuse - now it installs.
