Hi I just join the group, but I have been a MacFuse user for a while.
I've long wondered why it wasn't possible with the actual filesystemes to be able to list files by keyword, like we are all used do on the web now (on a wiki, on a blog, etc...). At first my concern was to be able to find pictures (where I really spend time affecting keywords to file) with their keyword without using any specific software. On OsX, Spotlight can do that but it's not that convenient I reckon. There's always a lot of result that are not what you look for really, and it takes time if you want to filter them. Now, more generally, I think it'd just great if we could affect just as many keywords as wanted to any file. I think it'd be so convenient for classification, instead of using combination of folders & colors - on OsX for that matter, which is quite good compare to what you can get elsewhere. I'd be very surprised to be the first to think of such a system, but I'm unable to find information with the way I phrase it, i-e 'keyword based filesystem'. This group doesn't even return any result for 'keyword'! I'd be grateful for any information regarding such a system. Has anyone thought about using MacFuse to implement something in these lines? jean --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacFUSE" group.
