It's actually quite easy, but if you're looking for Snow Leopard compatibility, get in line. It's not ready yet, and although some people are stepping up to try and do it, there isn't a clear timeline or plan established yet.
For the record, I'm not officially speaking for the project, I am just a list lurker, and project enthusiast. I'm using Snow Leopard on my new Macbook Pro, and I sorely miss MacFuse (it runs great on my PowerMac with Leopard) If anyone else could chime in and/or clarify/verify what I've said, that would be great!
