Hi there, I was trying to install some software and received the following message: ""run postupgrade script for MacFUSE"
I then went to Google's page, downloaded MacFUSE 2.0.3,2 and attempted to install it. I then received the same message of "Installation had errors. Install Failed! The following install step failed: run postupgrade script for MacFUSE. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." About my computer: MacBookPro running Mac OS 10.5.8. My computer doesn't have many programs on it and runs like a charm. I do however have Parallels which I believe also utilizes MacFUSE. When I attempted each install, I had my Parallels completely shut down and not running. I tried rebooting and attempted it again to no avail. My big issue here is that under no circumstance do I want to mess with my Parallels installation as that was a bee-hatch to get running (as that was the worst software installation package ever). It works great once you get it going, but just getting it going can be a monumental task in and of itself. I am running Parallels version 4.0.3846. I am able to load software, but I am far from a computer wiz. So if you know the answer and can provide assistance as if you were talking to a 5th grader if it involves doing anything remotely complex, I would be much obliged.
