As Tomas said there are several implementations of macfuse 10.6 support. One of them is macports patches. I already put them into github https://github.com/anatol/macfuse/commit/be097eb73977bb63c0eb5231454fc14524aa8705 it looks fine, it can be compiled with -t smalldist - see my other email.
