Thanks for your reply.
The TimeMachine does not work with sparse image any more in Lion (OSX 10.7).
But it still work with USB external drive. With the external USB drive,
it is not required to generate sparse image, just set that drive to be
backup disk and the TimeMachine goes well.

My plan is to simulate the behavior of external USB drive by creating a
virtual drive.
I am confusing if the OSXFuse/MacFuse is the only framework that I can base
on, or
It is still required to work with IOKit.

The OS X seems to have 2 kinds of "virtual disk".
