Did you try the epson website for a driver download?

They are very weak on updates, but should have something in OS X that will
run your scanner even if it is not listed "scanner specific."  You can call
their customer support line, and even though you don't have a contract they
will help you.  You will also need a program to actually run the scanner,
too, that works with TWAIN, so ask about that.
