Thanks, Lee. I suppose Sherlock is damaged. It won't do. But i am 
grateful for letting me know of those websites. they will work fine. I 
have already tried them out. I had also been upset  that Appleworks 
does not have a German dictionary in it, only French, Spanish and 
Italian;  now I can use the Merriam Webster for English  (  I used to 
use it in the Worldbook, but it was cumbersome) and this other site for 
all the German special dictionaries,  ( even the computer terms,)too. I 
put  them into  weblocs for quick access. Again, thanks.
