Harry, In Safari (or whatever you use) go to the Apple Home screen., and click on Support. There should be a place to type in what you're looking for. Then type"technical document 107392, Mac OS X: what is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?" There's another one: "technical document 107393, Mac OS X: How to Start Up in Safe Mode" The first article describes what it is; the second article tells how to do it. I then copied these articles for my information files...don't really think I needed to use it, but I tried it anyway. Worked the way they said it would. There's a third "technical document 107394: Mac OS X: Safe Boot takes Longer Than Normal Startup".

He had written something about it on Jan19, 2003. Mike On Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at 08:56 PM, Harry Jacobson-Beyer wrote: > I'm curious.
